Suomen Mad

In the pages of Suomen Mad, Finnish readers got their own localized version of the iconic American humor magazine, running for 89 issues from 1982 to 1997 under the Semic banner. This series brought the signature blend of satire, spoofs, and absurdist gags to a new audience, adapting the Mad formula for a Finnish cultural context. While it drew from the classic Mad tradition, Suomen Mad carved its own identity as a distinctly Finnish comedic institution during the late 20th century.
