From 1988 to 2014, Raj Comics introduced Indian readers to a futuristic, armored hero in Super Commando Dhruva, a series that blended sci-fi gadgetry with martial arts and detective work. Created primarily by writer Sanjay Gupta and artist Anupam Sinha, Dhruva stood apart as a disciplined, non-superpowered crimefighter whose adventures often tackled social issues. Though the series ran only ten issues, its sleek, tech-driven aesthetic and grounded heroism left a lasting mark on Indian comics, influencing the landscape of homegrown superheroes.
