About the series
In the early 2000s, Dan Taylor, Chris Fason, and D. J. Coffman brought a playful, irreverent twist to the superhero genre with Super Hero Happy Hour, a four-issue series from the indie publisher Geekpunk. The comic follows a group of underemployed, costumed heroes who spend more time nursing drinks and swapping banter at their favorite bar than actually fighting crime. With its focus on the mundane, blue-collar side of superhuman life, the series stands as a witty, character-driven departure from the era's more epic caped adventures.
