About the series
In the mid-1970s, Harvey Comics gave its beloved Richie Rich a twist with Super Richie, a four-issue series that reimagined the world’s richest kid as a costumed superhero. Under the consistent pencils of Ernie Colón, the comic swapped the usual gags for lighthearted, kid-friendly action, with Richie using his fortune to fight crime in a bright, Silver Age-inspired style. Though short-lived, the series stands as a playful footnote in Harvey’s line, offering a glimpse of how a classic character could stretch beyond his usual slice-of-life adventures.
