About the series
Published in Croatia by Vjesnik from 1986 to 1989, Super Strip Maxi was a 16-issue anthology series that brought together an eclectic mix of international talent. Best known for featuring the work of Sergio Aragonés—who both wrote and drew for the title—alongside frequent collaborators Mark Evanier and Ernie Colón, it also included contributions from Italian writer Max Bunker. The series stands as a curious, short-lived showcase of Western and European comic sensibilities within the Yugoslavian market.
