About the series
In the mid-1980s, DC Comics gave Supergirl her own short-lived series, running just five issues under the steady hand of writer Paul Kupperberg. With art by industry veterans Carmine Infantino, Ed Barreto, and Ed Hannigan, this standalone title explored the Girl of Steel’s adventures separate from the larger Superman family. Though brief, it marked a focused moment for the character during a transitional era for DC, offering fans a concentrated look at her heroism.
