About the series
In 1994, DC Comics launched this four-issue series starring the Matrix version of Supergirl, a shapeshifting protoplasmic being who had taken on the mantle of the Girl of Steel. Written by Roger Stern with art by June Brigman and Jackson Guice, the story brings Supergirl into conflict with Lex Luthor while navigating her place alongside Superman and the Kents. Though brief, this run is a key chapter in the character's complex history, bridging the post-Crisis era with the classic Supergirl legacy.
