Taboo Tattoo

In Taboo Tattoo (2011–2018, Bamboo Édition), a seemingly ordinary young man discovers that a strange tattoo on his palm grants him superhuman powers, thrusting him into a shadowy conflict between rival factions all seeking to control the ancient, weapon-like markings. This 13-issue series blends martial arts action with a modern fantasy premise, exploring the cost of wielding such dangerous abilities. Writer/artist Shinjiro often centers the narrative on the protagonist's reluctant heroism and the escalating chaos around him.
