Tarzan Extra

From 1974 to 1977, Italian publisher Editrice Cenisio collected classic Tarzan newspaper strips in Tarzan Extra, a 15-issue series that showcased the foundational jungle icon through the art of Hal Foster, Burne Hogarth, and Rex Maxon. Writers including Gianni Bono, Don Garden, and George Carlin helped frame these vintage adventures for a new European readership. The series stands as a tribute to the golden age of adventure strips, preserving the raw energy and lush visuals that defined Tarzan’s early comic legacy.
