About the series
From 1952 to 1957, DC Comics published The Adventures of Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, a 40-issue series that translated the duo’s vaudeville-and-film chemistry into comic-book antics. Written primarily by Jack Schiff, Cal Howard, and Howie Post, with art by Win Mortimer, Bob Oksner, and Owen Fitzgerald, each issue paired the suave crooner and the zany screw-up in slapstick scenarios, often alongside the recurring teen sidekick Buzzy Brown. A playful celebrity tie-in of the era, it captured the lighthearted, gag-driven humor that made Martin and Lewis mid-century pop-culture icons.
