The Batman Adventures Annual
DC · 1994–1995 · 2 issues
About the series
In the mid-1990s, DC published two oversized annuals spun directly from the acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series, bridging the gap between the cartoon and its comic-book counterpart. Written primarily by series veterans Paul Dini, Bruce Timm, and Glen Murakami, with art from Timm, Murakami, and Mike Parobeck, these issues expanded the show's sleek, noir-influenced world with longer, self-contained stories. They capture the same warm, character-driven tone and sharp visual style that made the animated series a defining take on the Dark Knight.
