The Cheetahmen

A bizarre footnote in early-’90s comic history, The Cheetahmen is a single-issue series from the infamous video game publisher Active Enterprises, created to tie into their notorious NES game Action 52. Written and drawn entirely by Joe Martinez, this one-shot introduces a trio of anthropomorphic cheetah brothers fighting crime with martial arts and high-tech weaponry. Though only one issue was ever published, it has endured as a cult curiosity for its crude, earnest art and its place in the lore of one of gaming’s most legendary failures.
