The Choke

In the mid-1990s, Anubis Press released The Choke, a five-issue horror comic that ran from 1993 to 1994. The series is most closely associated with writer/artist Kyle Hotz, who was joined by Vaughan Schultz on scripts and Michael Bair and Jim Balent on art. A brief but atmospheric entry from the era of independent horror comics, it showcases the raw, visceral style that defined much of Hotz's early work.
