The Dandy

A short-lived but energetic revival of the classic British humour comic, The Dandy (2010–2012) from D.C. Thomson brought iconic characters like Desperate Dan and Bananaman into the 21st century for a new generation. Running for 103 issues, the series was most frequently written and drawn by Lew Stringer, with regular art contributions from Wayne Thompson. Though brief, this incarnation is notable for its attempt to modernize the beloved anthology format while retaining the anarchic, gag-a-minute spirit that made the original a staple of British comics.
