The Deathsport Games

In the dystopian near-future of The Deathsport Games (2010–2011), a quartet of issues from Bluewater Productions pits desperate contestants against one another in a lethal televised competition for survival. The series, a grim take on reality TV violence, was penned by writer Vincente Valentini with cover art by Joe Phillips. While brief, the series carved out a niche in the early-2010s indie comics landscape by tapping into the era's fascination with gladiatorial game shows and media spectacle.
