The Frogmen

Dell Comics' The Frogmen (1962–1964) ran for ten issues, chronicling the daring underwater exploits of U.S. Navy combat divers during the Cold War era. The series was most frequently written by Don Segall and illustrated by a powerhouse trio of artists: Mike Sekowsky, George Evans, and Alex Toth, whose crisp, dynamic artwork brought the tense, silent world of demolition and reconnaissance to vivid life. A standout example of Dell's adventure line, it captured the era's fascination with specialized military units and remains a showcase for some of the finest comic art of the early 1960s.
