The Heckler
DC · 1992–1993 · 6 issues
About the series
In this short-lived 1992–1993 DC series, a disgruntled department store employee reinvents himself as a costumed heckler, using biting satire and absurdity to combat the city's supervillains. Written by Keith Giffen alongside Mary and Tom Bierbaum, with Giffen also handling art, the book was a playful, meta send-up of superhero tropes. Though it ran only six issues, The Heckler remains a cult favorite for its sharp, irreverent humor and Giffen's distinctive visual style.
