About the series
A long-running Charlton horror anthology, The Many Ghosts of Dr. Graves (1967–1982) was named for its host, the white-suited, mustachioed Dr. Graves, who introduced tales of the supernatural alongside regular backup features like the macabre Mr. L. Dedd and the spooky Winnie the Witch. The series is notable for its strong, consistent creative team, with Joe Gill and Steve Skeates handling much of the writing while artists including Steve Ditko, Charles Nicholas, and Pete Morisi brought the eerie stories to life. It also served as an early home for the Blue Beetle (Ted Kord), whose adventures appeared within its pages.
