Roger Langridge wrote and drew this four-issue Boom! Studios series from 2009, capturing the chaotic, vaudevillean spirit of the original Muppet Show in comic form. The series drops readers backstage at the Muppet Theater, where Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, and the whole gang struggle to put on a show amid Gonzo’s stunts, Animal’s drumming, and Statler and Waldorf’s heckling. Langridge’s affection for the characters and his knack for slapstick timing make this a warm, faithful revival that feels like a lost episode of the classic television series.
