About the series
In the mid-2000s, Brian Michael Bendis brought his signature street-level storytelling to Marvel with The Pulse, a 14-issue series that followed Jessica Jones and Ben Urich as they launched a new section of the Daily Bugle dedicated to superhuman news. With art by Mark Bagley, Michael Gaydos, and Brent Anderson, the book bridged the worlds of journalism and superheroics, featuring Luke Cage, J. Jonah Jameson, Robbie Robertson, and Peter Parker. A natural extension of Bendis's work on Alias and Daredevil, it explored how ordinary people report on—and live alongside—extraordinary beings.
