About the series

In the early 1990s, DC Comics revamped a Golden Age hero for a new generation with The Ray, a six-issue series that introduced Raymond Terrill as the light-powered protagonist. Written by Jack C. Harris with artwork by Joe Quesada and Art Nichols, the story follows Raymond as he inherits the mantle from his father, Happy Terrill, and faces off against the magnetic villain Doctor Polaris and the enigmatic Neal Emerson. This short but significant run redefined the character, blending family legacy with high-concept energy powers in a classic DC superhero tale.
