About the series
In the early 1980s, Marvel brought a fantasy epic to life with The Saga of Crystar, Crystal Warrior, a 11-issue series that followed the heroic Crystar and his allies—including the wizard Zardeth and the loyal Koth—as they battled the tyrannical Lord Feldspar and the molten menace of Moltar. Written primarily by Jo Duffy and Bob Harras, with striking art from the likes of Ricardo Villamonte, Bret Blevins, and Neal Adams, the series built a vivid world of crystal kingdoms and elemental conflict. Though short-lived, it remains a distinctive piece of Marvel's fantasy line, remembered for its ambitious world-building and the creative talents who shaped its brief, fiery run.
