About the series
From 1950 to 1952, Thorpe & Porter brought Leslie Charteris’s dashing rogue Simon Templar—better known as The Saint—to British newsstands in a five-issue comic series. Scripted by Charteris himself, the series balanced globe-trotting adventure with the character’s signature wry charm, illustrated by a rotating team of artists including Mike Roy, Everett Kinstler, and Louis Ravielli. Though short-lived, these comics offered a faithful, pulp-infused extension of The Saint’s crime-fighting legacy, capturing the postwar appetite for suave, morally flexible heroes.
