The Steam Man

Joe R. Lansdale and Mark Alan Miller co-wrote this five-issue Dark Horse miniseries from 2015–2016, with art by Piotr Kowalski. A steampunk Western reimagining of a classic 19th-century dime-novel character, the story pits a young inventor and his mechanical marvel against a corrupt Texas town. It’s a brisk, pulpy adventure that showcases Lansdale’s signature blend of dark humor, historical grit, and genre-mashing.
