Thor Annual
Marvel · 1966–1994 · 18 issues
About the series
Across eighteen issues spanning nearly three decades, Marvel’s Thor Annual served as a showcase for epic, standalone adventures of the God of Thunder and his Asgardian allies. With foundational runs by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, later contributions from Roy Thomas, John Buscema, and others deepened the mythic scope, often pitting Thor, Odin, Balder, and the Warriors Three against Loki’s schemes and other cosmic threats. These oversized issues allowed for sprawling, self-contained stories that expanded the lore of Asgard while maintaining the core heroics of Thor Odinson. A vital companion to the monthly series, the annuals offered fans a grander stage for the thunder god’s most dramatic battles.
