Tiger Joe

A short-lived but fondly remembered Belgian series from Éditions Michel Deligne, Tiger Joe ran for just three issues beginning in 1977. Created by the house's stable of adventure artists, the comic follows the jungle exploits of its titular hero, a rugged white hunter and adventurer in the tradition of classic European bande dessinée. Though its run was brief, the series stands as a tidy example of the publisher's mid-century adventure output.
