Toenga

Set in the South Pacific, Toenga (1964–1973) is a French-Belgian adventure series from publisher Le Lombard, spanning eight issues. The strip follows the exploits of its titular Polynesian hero across exotic island locales, blending action with a respectful depiction of indigenous culture. Though short-lived, the series is remembered for its lush, atmospheric artwork and its place in the tradition of European exotic adventure comics.
