About the series
From 2009 to 2013, Hjemmet/Egmont released fourteen issues of Tommy og Tigern album, a Norwegian-language collection series reprinting Bill Watterson’s classic Calvin and Hobbes strips. While Watterson’s iconic art and writing form the core of every issue, the series also features original material by Norwegian writer Sigbjørn Stabursvik, adding a unique local touch to the beloved newspaper comic. This run gave Norwegian readers a dedicated, album-sized format to enjoy the timeless adventures of a boy and his tiger, bridging Watterson’s American classic with Scandinavian publishing.
