About the series
From 1988 to 1994, Epix published Topas, a 61-issue series that blended European eroticism with surreal, often satirical storytelling. The title is most closely associated with writer Larry Welz, who contributed frequently, while artists Guido Crepax, Giovanni Romanini, and Welz himself brought its distinctive, stylized visuals to life.
