Topp Serien

From 1964 to 1965, the Norwegian publisher Illustrerte Klassikere / Williams Forlag released Topp Serien, a 15-issue comics series that brought a mix of adventure and war stories to newsstands. The series is most associated with prolific American writer Paul S. Newman, who penned the bulk of its tales, while artists including Sam Glanzman and the painterly Bowen provided the visuals. Though brief, this series stands as a snapshot of mid-60s European reprint culture, packaging imported American comics for a Scandinavian audience.
