About the series
In the late 1970s, Spanish publisher Editorial Nueva Frontera launched Totem, a landmark anthology comic that ran for 73 issues until 1986. The series became a vital platform for European and international talent, most notably showcasing the visionary work of Moebius alongside the gritty, expressive styles of José Muñoz and Enric Sió. By blending science fiction, fantasy, and avant-garde storytelling, Totem helped introduce a generation of readers to the sophisticated, creator-driven comics emerging from the continent.
