From 1986 to 1991, Dutch publisher Juniorpress brought the Troetelbeertjes to local readers in a 32-issue series, translating and reprinting the gentle, pastel-hued adventures of characters like Hartebeertje and Lachbeertje. The artwork and stories were most frequently handled by American creators Howie Post and Warren Kremer, giving these cuddly bears a consistent, charming visual style. This series offered a warm, accessible introduction to the Care Bears universe for a European audience, standing as a key Dutch-language iteration of the franchise during the late 1980s.
