Turma da Mônica – Graphic Novel: Tauó

In 2008, Panini Brasil published Turma da Mônica – Graphic Novel: Tauó, a single-issue standalone graphic novel that reimagines the beloved Monica and Friends characters in a dramatic, epic fantasy setting. Written and illustrated by the acclaimed Brazilian cartoonist Danilo Beyruth, the story draws on indigenous Brazilian mythology to craft a dark, visually striking adventure far removed from the series' usual humor. This entry launched the Turma da Mônica Graphic Novel line, a mature-reader imprint that would go on to feature other creators reinterpreting the classic characters in diverse genres.
