About the series
From 1984 to 1996, the German publisher Kunst der Comics (later Alpha) released U-Comix, a 125-issue anthology series that became a vital showcase for European alternative and adult-oriented comics. The series was most frequently shaped by the talents of Ted Benoît, Frank Margerin, and Guido Sieber as writers, while Pierre Clément, Benoît, and Margerin were its most prolific artists. U-Comix mattered as a long-running, eclectic platform that brought a wide range of sophisticated, often humorous, and visually distinctive European comic stories to German readers.
