Set in the rainy, moody streets of Bergen, this Norwegian comic series adapts Gunnar Staalesen's hard-boiled detective Varg Veum into a quartet of Christmas-themed mysteries. Published by Hjemmet and later Egmont from 2013 to 2016, the stories were primarily written by Staalesen himself alongside artist Mike Collins, whose clean, expressive linework brought the private investigator's world to life. Each issue offered a self-contained, seasonally tinged case, making it a distinctive holiday tradition for fans of Scandinavian crime fiction.
