About the series
In 1987 and 1988, Mad Dog Graphics published a stark, two-issue comic adaptation of Harlan Ellison's classic post-apocalyptic novella A Boy and His Dog. The series pairs Ellison's own sharp, bleak script with Richard Corben's visceral, detailed artwork, bringing the brutal wasteland and the telepathic bond between the young survivor Vic and his dog Blood to vivid life. A landmark collaboration between two masters of their craft, it remains a definitive, unflinching take on survival and loyalty in a shattered world.
