Vipera Bionda

A short-lived but distinctive Italian horror-fantasy series from Edifumetto, Vipera Bionda ran for 13 issues in the early 1980s. The title character was a mysterious, vengeful female protagonist navigating a dark, supernatural world, typical of the publisher's adult-oriented, genre-heavy output. Though not as widely remembered as some of its contemporaries, the series is a notable example of the bold, often controversial material coming out of Italy's fumetti neri tradition during that era.
