About the series
In this four-issue 2009–2010 series from Viz, artist and co-writer Ryu Fujisaki (of Hoshin Engi fame) teams with writer Alexis Kirsch for a compact, mystical fantasy. The story follows a young boy who discovers he can transform into a powerful creature called a Wāqwāq, drawing him into a conflict between humans and mythical beasts.
