Wally Wood's T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents

From 1984 to 1986, Deluxe Comics revived the classic super-team concept with Wally Wood's T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents, a five-issue series that built on the original 1960s lore. Anchored by the art of Dave Cockrum, Keith Giffen, and Rich Buckler, with scripts from David Singer and Brian Marshall, this short-lived run brought a sleek, 1980s polish to the high-tech espionage and costumed heroes of the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. organization. Though it didn't last long, it remains a fondly remembered attempt to recapture the spirit of Wood's creation for a new decade.
