About the series
Carl Barks, the legendary writer-artist behind many of Disney's most beloved duck tales, was the primary creative force behind Walt Disney's One Shot from its 1951 debut. Published by W. G. Publications and later Wogan Publications, this Australian comic series offered standalone adventures featuring the classic Disney cast over 66 issues. While the series continued for decades, its early issues are especially notable for collecting Barks's masterful, globe-trotting stories, making it a key repository for some of his finest work.
