Walter Lantz Space Mouse

In the early 1960s, Western Publishing gave Walter Lantz's cartoon mouse his own short-lived comic series, Space Mouse (1962–1963). Running for just five issues, the book sent the mischievous rodent on zany sci-fi adventures, with artist John Carey providing the most consistent visual flair across the series. A minor but charming footnote in the era of licensed funny-animal comics, it's a neat snapshot of the space-race pop culture that briefly captured even the most earthbound cartoon stars.
