Wanhat Sarjat

Jalava’s Wanhat Sarjat (1981–1987) was a Finnish comics anthology series that revived classic newspaper strips and adventure serials for a new generation, running for 18 issues. Editor and artist Jukka Murtosaari was the most frequent contributor, curating a mix of translated international reprints alongside original Finnish material. The series stands as a key archival effort in Finnish comics history, preserving and celebrating the storytelling traditions of earlier decades.
