Warrior Nun Areala

From 1996, Ben Dunn’s Warrior Nun Areala (published under the Schattenreiter imprint) launched a three-issue comic series following the armored, holy warrior of the same name. Dunn both wrote and illustrated this initial run, establishing the character’s blend of supernatural action and religious iconography that would define her later adventures. While short, this series laid the groundwork for a long-running franchise that became a cult favorite for its unique take on a militant nun in a world of dark forces.
