Roy Crane’s classic newspaper adventure strip Wash Tubbs was revived in this 1986–1987 quarterly series from Dragon Lady Press, collecting and reprinting Crane’s own work from the strip’s golden age. Across five issues, readers could follow the globe-trotting exploits of the affable Wash Tubbs and his stalwart friend Captain Easy, as drawn with Crane’s signature lively, expressive linework. This series offered a welcome, faithful reprint of a foundational adventure-comedy strip, preserving Crane’s influential storytelling for a new generation.
