We Are Robin

In the wake of Batman’s apparent death, Lee Bermejo’s We Are Robin (2015–2016, DC) follows a network of street-level teens who take up the mantle of Robin as a symbol of grassroots justice, not as sidekicks but as a movement. With kinetic art from Jorge Corona, Rob Haynes, and Carmine Di Giandomenico, this 12-issue series reimagines the classic concept through a collective, found-family lens, capturing the raw energy and danger of Gotham’s youngest vigilantes carving their own path. Its focus on community-driven heroism and the cost of a symbol makes it a distinctive, gritty entry in the modern Batman mythos.
