Wild Stars

A single, oversized Collector's Edition issue from 1984 launched this ongoing series, a science-fiction epic by writer/artist Peter Hsu. Published by the independent house Aircel Comics, Wild Stars introduced a sprawling cosmic conflict and a cast of colorful alien and human characters. Its detailed, painted-style artwork and ambitious world-building made it a distinctive entry in the mid-80s indie comics boom, with new installments appearing sporadically over the decades.
