About the series
In 2004–2005, Viz Media brought Toshitsugo Iida's manga adaptation of the Wolf's Rain anime to English readers. This two-issue comic follows the core premise of the series: a lone wolf named Kiba and his pack journey through a frozen, dying world in search of the legendary paradise known as "Rakuen." Iida's art captures the bleak, atmospheric tone of the original story, translating its haunting visuals of wolves in human disguise into sequential panels. Though brief, this release offered fans a compact, faithful way to experience the saga's opening chapters in print.
