About the series
In the late 1960s, Charlton Comics launched World of Wheels, a 16-issue series that revved up the muscle car craze with tales of speed, danger, and automotive adventure. Anchored by the recurring character Ken King, the title was largely driven by the prolific writing of Joe Gill and the dynamic artwork of Charles Nicholas, Edd Ashe, and Jack Keller. A high-octane showcase for Charlton’s brand of no-frills action, it captured the roar of the road for a generation of young gearheads.
