Плиш и Плюм is a Bulgarian comic series that adapts the classic German picture-stories of Max and Moritz into a local context, originally created by Wilhelm Busch and adapted by writer Елин Пелин. Launched in 1965 with a single issue, this work brings Busch’s iconic, mischievous duo to Bulgarian readers through the artist’s own expressive, sequential art. While its run is brief, the series stands as a notable cultural bridge, introducing a cornerstone of European cartooning to a new audience in the mid-20th century.
