Шибил

A Bulgarian comic series launched in 1966 by the publisher Братство, Шибил is a historical adventure strip written primarily by Йордан Йовков and illustrated by Методи Петров. Over its single issue, the series draws on local folklore and national themes, with Петров’s art defining its visual identity. Though brief in its initial run, it stands as an early example of post-war Bulgarian comics, reflecting the country’s cultural storytelling traditions through a dramatic, illustrated lens.
